Job Description
The Vice President Business Development - Industrial Estate Business will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new land opportunities within industrial estates, conducting comprehensive land analysis, and staying abreast of government policies to ensure compliance and maximize investment potential.
Core Responsibilities:
- Land Acquisition:
- Identify potential land acquisition opportunities within industrial estates.
- Negotiate purchase agreements with landowners and complete the acquisition process.
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure all transactions comply with local laws and regulations.
- Land Analysis:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on potential land acquisitions, including zoning, environmental, and topographical studies.
- Perform detailed analysis of land parcels to assess suitability for industrial use.
- Evaluate infrastructure availability, access to transportation networks, and proximity to key resources.
- Analyze market trends, economic forecasts, and industry demands to inform land acquisition strategies.
- Provide recommendations based on financial performance and potential of industrial properties
- Government Policy:
- Monitor changes in government policies related to industrial estates and land development.
- Liaise with government agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits for development projects.
- Ensure all business activities align with current regulations and policies.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement strategies for land acquisition that align with the company’s long-term business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate land acquisition plans with overall business development strategies.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, local communities, and business partners.
- Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and public hearings related to land development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in land acquisition and analysis, preferably within industrial estates.
- Strong understanding of government policies and procedures related to land development.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions based on data analysis.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of industrial real estate market trends and economic drivers.
- Experience with GIS tools and land analysis software.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainability practices in land development.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based role with frequent travel to potential land sites and government offices.
- Standard working hours with flexibility required during project negotiations and critical business periods.
