As a Senior Process Technologist at Corbion's largest Lactic Plant you are responsible for analyzing plant performance, proposing improvement initiatives, and developing process designs used in our bio-based processes. Reporting to local Technology & Engineering Manager, you also contribute to the analysis, engineering, and commissioning of new or modified production facilities. You work with a diverse and international group of colleagues with the same passion for designing and improving processes to implement Corbion's technologies. You will work closely with other departments such as Operations as well as Maintenance & Reliability, in which you will contribute to the process optimization. You are able to draw upon local and international colleagues from various research, engineering and operational disciplines and contribute to an innovative and inspiring environment. Since Corbion is the global leader in lactic acid production, we develop our own technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze plant performance, provide solutions to solve problems, and improve and/or stabilize the performance of the production process.

• Lead in process optimization, yield and efficiency calculations, mass & heat balance calculations, and/or engineering for process changes and MOC’s, including commissioning, and start-up.

• Collaborate with Research and Development and Global Engineering to ensure the development of robust, cost-effective processes.

• Support the deployment of Engineering and Process Safety standards within the design.

• Create, review and evaluate Corbion and third-party engineering documents, like: P&IDs, PFD’s, Heat and mass balance, equipment data sheets, piping system designs, URS, equipment and package drawings, etc.

• Actively contribute to the safety performance of the company and incident reviews.

• Provide support and guidance to other technologists and Operations teams.

Requirements:

In addition to your educational achievements with at least a Master’s degree in Chemical or Petrochemical Engineering—or equivalent educational background. With practical experience—the successful candidate for the position of Senior Process Technologist must have at least 7+ years of hands-on experience in Process Engineering and Technology within chemical or petrochemical manufacturing environments.

We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of continuous process operations, reaction engineering, heat and mass transfer, process optimization, and scale-up of unit operations. Proven experience in designing, troubleshooting, and improving production processes in a chemical or petrochemical plant is essential.

Other qualifications include:

• Experience in working within multi-disciplinary project teams in a multi-cultural setting.

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills; a proactive team player and effective communicator.

• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

• Must be based in Thailand and able to communicate in Thai.
