We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our project team, you will play a vital role in the design, installation, and oversight of cutting-edge mechanical systems that ensure the success of our construction projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage key aspects of mechanical system design and construction, and contribute to projects that make a significant impact in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design & Planning Excellence

• Develop detailed mechanical design plans, technical specifications, and CAD drawings for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other critical mechanical systems.

• Work seamlessly with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to integrate mechanical systems within the overall building design.

• Ensure that all designs meet the highest standards of compliance with industry regulations, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and local building codes.

2. Installation & Construction Oversight

• Lead and supervise the on-site installation of mechanical systems, ensuring strict adherence to approved design specifications, safety protocols, and project schedules.

• Conduct regular site inspections to track project progress, swiftly resolve issues, and ensure superior quality in all installations.

• Act as the key liaison with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and effective conflict resolution.

3. Cost Estimation & Budget Management

• Accurately estimate project costs related to mechanical systems, and develop comprehensive budget proposals that align with project goals.

• Closely monitor expenditures throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that costs remain within budget and that resources are used efficiently.

• Identify and implement innovative solutions that reduce costs without sacrificing quality, performance, or safety.

4. Testing & Commissioning Leadership

• Oversee thorough testing and inspections to ensure mechanical systems function optimally and meet project specifications.

• Collaborate with testing agencies and stakeholders to coordinate system commissioning and certification.

• Provide expert troubleshooting and resolution for any operational issues that arise during testing or commissioning phases.

5. Documentation & Reporting Excellence

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all project activities, including design modifications, approvals, milestones, and completed work.

• Prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports, presentations, and compliance documentation for project stakeholders and regulatory agencies.

• Ensure that all records meet the highest industry standards and align with project requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field. A Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.

• 6 - 8 years of experience in mechanical design and project engineering for construction projects, particularly HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

• Must have experience with data centre, water chilled, cool water, air cooled.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools for advanced design and modeling.

• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, construction standards (ASHRAE, NFPA), and best practices in the field.

• Demonstrated expertise in project management, including the ability to lead teams, manage multiple tasks, and meet stringent deadlines.

• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Effective communication skills—ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and interact confidently with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders.
