Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning and Design Oversee the preparation and approval of detailed engineering designs. Review architectural and engineering drawings for accuracy and compliance with standards. Evaluate the design’s feasibility, efficiency, and cost effectiveness 2. Construction Management Manage and monitor construction activities to ensure that engineering and design standards and maintained. Ensure the construction process adheres to the project’s timeline, budget and quality expectations. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution. Monitor and evaluate performance of designers and construction contractors/subcontractors. 3. Risk Management, Compliance and Quality Assurance Identify potential risks and challenges in engineering design and construction, and implement mitigation strategies. Resolve technical issues and challenges that may arise during the design or construction phases. Ensure engineering designs and construction methods comply with safety standards, local building codes, industry standards and regulations. Perform quality assurance throughout end-to-end- process of construction project development. 4. Budgeting and Resource Management Develop and manage the budget of each project ensuring cost-efficiency in design and construction. Manage resources, materials, and equipment effectively to avoid possible delays or cost overruns. 5. Team Management and Collaboration Lead, mentor, and manage engineers, designers and technical staff to ensure proper performance and high productivity. Provide technical guidance and support to all team members throughout the project. Coordinate between departments, ensuring clear communication, transparent work operations, alignment on goals. Prepare and deliver plans, progress reports, technical presentations, and other relevant documentation to stakeholders. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate development, construction and design with a proven record in residential projects. In-depth knowledge of safety standards, environmental guidelines, local construction codes, and relevant rules and regulations. Expertise in construction management, engineering design, and project delivery processes. Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and project specifications. Familiar with cost estimation tools and project management software with proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Good communication skills in English (Chinese language proficiency is a plus).
