Production Engineer (Compounding & Utility)

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree (or above) from reputed institute in the field of Chemical Engineering, Polymer science, Petrochemical or other field which is equivalent.

• About 3 years working experience in production of petrochemical or chemical area is an advantage 

• Direct experience in Utility & WWTP operation is an advantage

• Managing people experience is an advantage

• Good in English communication (writing, speaking, listening, reading) Require TOEIC Score 650

Job Description:

1. Compounding & Packing process 

•     Review production planning of CPDG1/CPDG2/SLE process by work with Planning team to settle production plan, grade change, s/d plan in each month

•     Provide support to Compounding team for process trouble shooting emergency case and quality issued.

•     Tracking process condition, quality data as regular basis for CPDG1/CPDG2/SLE process. 

•     Ensure system in place to manage transition/off grade optimization, off grade digest plan etc.

•     Provide support and consultant for maintain & improve packing operation as necessary

•      Monitoring raw material yield vs BOM, Lead for improvement.

•      Lead to issue MOC which related to Compounding & Utility area/process.

•      Leads team for process & cost optimization, SHE improvement and process improvement.

•     Support team for RCA_ Maintenance breaks down investigation, working closely with Reliability engineer, MTN team and Compounding/Utility team.

•     Lead team for RCA_ Incident investigation, working closely with SHE team, QC team, Operate over OE investigation and Compounding/Utility team.

•     Lead team for process improvement, quality improvement, SHE improvement in compounding & packing area/operation.

• Support CAPEX project in Compounding & Utility area by working closely with Process Engineer and Project team. And may lead for Small CAPEX and internal improvement project.

• Lead for Turn Around activity (T/A) and support for regular plant shut down by working closely with production team.

• Support SHE initiative, SHE standard implementation ex. PSM, PS10, BS10, IGGN, SGGN

• Promotes team for innovative ideas initiative for improve safety, operation, process, quality, etc. and support the execution on approved ideas.

• Lead for ISO9001, 140001, 45001, 50001 maintaining & improvement by Working closely with production team.

• Lead for WI training as per training matrix guideline.

• Provide reliability report, weekly report, monthly report as per assignment.

2.Utilities & Waste treatment process and reporting 

• Supports team to monitoring process condition, advise and lead team for process adjustment, trouble shooting, optimization in all Utilities system which are included Cooling water, Chilled water, Air compressor, raw water, plant water, process water, N2 supply, NG supply, Steam supply etc. 

• Ensures smooth operation with high reliability of Utilities supply with good quality to meeting the user requirement with enough capacity.

• Supports team to monitoring process condition, advise and lead team for process adjustment, trouble shooting, optimization in waste treatment and waste handling system which include Waste treatment are included, WWTP, regenerative thermal oxidizer (RTO), H2S scrubber, Pyrolysis oven, Jet cleaner, waste storage & handling.

• Ensures all waste treatment system are comply with law, regulation & standard. 

• Co-ordinates closely with production team to ensure all utility production & waste treatment/handling are align and meet all requirement with optimum production/usage.

• Develops & regular updates all work instruction, record sheet, data sheet related to Utilities & Waste treatment area and ensure team are strictly follow the system

• Provides training to team as necessary to ensure that Utility team able to operate Utility & Waste treatment system in the good practice manner and safe operation.

• Leads team for improvement project which included process optimization, improve asset & facility for operation & safety practice, CAPEX etc.

• Manages chemical inventory & usage in Utilities & WWTP by working with procurement team and supplier.

• Provides recommendation & consulting to Utility team in part of Operation issue, Quality issued, Safety issued or other.

• Works closely with Environment team to ensure all requirement/practice are meeting the regulatory & standard.

• Monitors Utility consumption and all waste generation

• Analyzes utility consumption report by understanding the usage, find out the root cause of low/high consumption by working closely with Polymer & Compounding team.

• Leads team for investigation in part of Operation, Quality and Safety which happen in Utility section, operate over operating envelop (OE), Safety critical alarm (SCA) and Safety critical system (SCS) and initiate MOC for any change in Utility section

• Lead for Turn Around activity (T/A) and support for regular plant shut down by working closely with production team.

• Supports for PR/PO process related to Utility section

• Monitor utility cost and usage rate against approved budget

• Other assignment by Manager.
