Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Logistics and Commercial safety strategies aligned with Coca Cola, Swire and corporate goals.
- Ensure consistency in safety practices, policies, and standards across all regions.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on safety matters especially the road accident, providing guidance to Area Safety Managers and site leaders.
- Monitor and analyze safety performance metrics across the region, including TIR, LTIR, Crash rate and audit compliance rates.
- Identify trends, share insights, and drive targeted interventions to improve safety outcomes.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and recommend enhancements.
- Mentor and coach Area Safety Managers to build their technical and leadership competencies.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and supporting career development.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among Area Safety Managers.
- Oversee Logistics and Commercial compliance with safety regulations and corporate standards, including Coca-Cola requirements.
- Lead or support high-level safety audits and ensure timely resolution of findings.
- Provide guidance on managing high-risk activities and critical incidents.
- Review and validate root cause analyses and corrective actions for major incidents within the Logistics and Commercial function.
- Ensure readiness of emergency response plans across the Logistics and Commercial function and support their execution when required.
- Develop and deliver leadership-level safety training programs tailored to regional needs.
- Drive initiatives to strengthen safety culture, including campaigns, recognition programs, and employee engagement activities.
- Support the development of safety training materials and facilitate their deployment.
- Act as the liaison between the Corporate Safety Director and Area safety teams to ensure alignment with overarching goals.
- Collaborate with other functional leaders (e.g., Operations, Engineering, HR) to integrate safety into all business processes.
- Represent the Logistics and Commercial function in corporate safety forums, sharing best practices and contributing to company-wide improvements.
- Collaborate with Swire and Coca-Cola to understand and fulfill any requirements, ensuring effective execution and alignment with their expectations.
- Leverage technology and data analytics to drive innovation in safety management.
- Promote the adoption of best practices and new methodologies to enhance safety performance.
- Develop and manage the Logistics and Commercial safety budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Oversee procurement and deployment of safety-related tools, equipment, and technology.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH, Certified Safety Professional or risk assessment training are preferred.
- More than 10 years in workplace safety management.
- Can be located to work in Hua Mak
- Able to travel as required
