As the Head of Merchandise at Multy Beauty, Thailand’s leading multi-brand beauty retailer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial & merchandising success of the business. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the merchandising, business development, and supply chain teams to ensure the seamless delivery of exceptional products, innovative brand partnerships, and a superior customer experience. Your leadership will shape the strategy for sales growth, product assortment, supplier relationships, and financial performance. This is a high-impact role where you will directly influence the company’s commercial & merchandising trajectory and contribute to its long-term success in Thailand’s dynamic beauty retail market. Strategic Leadership & Business Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy that aligns with Multy Beauty's growth objectives and market positioning in Thailand. Lead and drive business development initiatives to expand both local and international supplier partnerships, focusing on adding value to the product portfolio, increasing profitability, and meeting customer needs. Identify new business opportunities in both products and channels, helping position Multy Beauty as a leader in the Thai beauty retail market. 2. Merchandising & Product Strategy: Oversee the merchandising team to ensure the optimal selection of products, including new releases, supplier brands, and Multy Beauty’s own brands. Manage product assortment and ensure that product offerings are aligned with consumer trends, competitive market positioning, and company goals. Work closely with the marketing and merchandising teams to create compelling promotional strategies and ensure the best in-store and online product presentation. 3. Supplier & Brand Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and brand partners, negotiating favorable terms and managing contract agreements. Develop supplier brands and Multy Beauty’s own branded products, ensuring their competitiveness, quality, and alignment with market demand. Coordinate with the business development team to secure exclusive partnerships or new product lines that elevate Multy Beauty’s offerings. 4. Supply Chain & Operations Management: Oversee the supply chain team to ensure efficient inventory management, procurement, and timely product delivery. Ensure a seamless and effective flow of products from suppliers to stores and warehouses, minimizing delays and optimizing stock levels. Work with logistics and operations teams to implement cost-effective solutions for transportation, warehousing, and overall distribution. 5. Sales & Profitability Management: Drive the commercial performance of Multy Beauty, ensuring that sales targets are met, and profitability is maximized. Monitor and analyze sales performance, using data and market insights to adapt strategies, improve product performance, and drive additional revenue streams. Take full ownership of the P&L for the commercial division, managing budgets, controlling costs, and ensuring the efficient use of resources to drive profit. 6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, e-commerce, and customer experience teams to ensure consistency in brand messaging, promotions, and customer engagement across all touchpoints. Work closely with finance and analytics teams to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies for continuous growth and improvement. Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on business objectives and priorities. 7. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams across merchandising, business development, and supply chain. Establish clear KPIs and performance metrics for each team, providing guidance and support for achieving set goals. Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. 8. Financial Performance & P&L Ownership: Take responsibility for the overall commercial financial performance, ensuring that all sales, cost of goods sold (COGS), and operational costs align with the budget. Lead efforts in maximizing profitability by optimizing product pricing, cost control, and maximizing sales per square meter (SPM). Regularly report on the financial health of the commercial division, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as needed. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or related field. 7+ years of experience in a commercial or retail management role, with a proven track record of success in a senior leadership position. Extensive experience in managing merchandising, business development, and supply chain teams, preferably in the beauty or fashion retail sector. Proven expertise in P&L management, driving sales, and managing multi-channel retail operations. Experience in negotiating with suppliers and driving both branded and private label product strategies. Strong leadership, communication, and team management capabilities. Solid financial acumen with experience in budget management, P&L accountability, and financial reporting. Ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions based on consumer trends, market conditions, and operational needs. Knowledge of inventory management, logistics, and supply chain operations. Proficiency in both Thai and English (spoken and written) for internal and external communications.
