EVP/VP Swine Business Operation

Job Description

The VP – Farm Operations manages the swine operation to achieve the targeted level of productivity, profitability and growth & ensures optimum productivity of bioenergy power generation plant.  The position establishes team excellence in executing standard work, operational efficiency, asset management, and driving results while managing change innovation and driving continuous improvement. This role expands the capability and capacity of the team through effective hiring, staffing, and fostering a culture of personal leadership, development of leadership, technical and animal management competencies and empowering caretakers to exercise business judgment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Overall performance of the farm business unit in terms of production efficiency and profitability
2. Responsible for the organizational health of the whole farm team
3. Keep track of advancements in farm production technology and initiates appropriate changes in the farm's programs, and operating systems and procedures.
4. Direct the design conceptualization process for expansion and renovation projects
5. Guide and assist farm managers, veterinarians and section/site supervisors to maximize their capacity to carry out their responsibilities
6. Inspect the farm production and bioenergy production areas and the project sites to ensure compliance to plans, programs, rules and operating procedures/protocols
7. Lead the farm team in the implementation of the Strategic Quality Plan
8. Participate in Management Committee, Site Executive Committee and the Business Group Executive Committee meetings
9. Prepare the farm team budget, and ensuring compliance monitoring and cost management
10. Assist the Farm Managers in solving problems involving the manpower agencies and offsite farm owners

Qualifications
 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Bachelor of Science in Agriculture -  Major in Animal Science

Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

10 years’ managerial experience in swine farm

Experience as Farm Manager of swine farm will be advantage.

Remark: Work 6 days a week with flexible day off 2 Saturdays per month.
