Crane, Operator (Offshore)

The Crane Operator ensures the safe and efficient operation of offshore platform cranes, including remote locations, with direct responsibility for personnel and material safety during lifting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate cranes for loading/unloading, adhering to safety and lifting procedures, ensuring accurate material placement.

• Inspect and maintain offshore pedestal cranes and rigging per safety standards.

• Immediately report faults or unsafe conditions.

• Supervise deck crew in safe rigging and ensure equipment serviceability.

• Oversee or assist in safe replacement of lifting gear.

• Monitor operations to prevent overloading, excessive movement, or obstructions.

• Participate in crane, signaling, and remote equipment operation training.

• Conduct rigging refresher training.

• Coordinate cargo and personnel boat transfers with the Radio Operator.

• Communicate safety and operational updates to the team.

• Perform Helideck Crew duties.

• Conduct swing rope inspections/replacements.

• Serve as a Stretcher Team member in emergencies.

• Implement stop work authority for unsafe conditions.

• Safely transfer personnel via basket.

• Perform pre/post-operation crane inspections, tag equipment, and report defects.

• Assist maintenance and safety crews on crane work.

Qualification :

• Secondary Education or Diploma Certificate plus 3 to 6 months of special training course on crane operations.

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in crane operations.

• Fair communication, written and spoken English, TOEIC 400 or equivalent is an advantage.

• Capable to speak Thai Language fluently.

• Crane driver certificate is mandatory
