Job Descriptions: The CAD Operator is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining CAD models and technical drawings for high-end jewelry. This role involves working closely with the design and production teams to ensure that all designs are both aesthetically pleasing and technically feasible for manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of jewelry design processes, CAD software, and the ability to manage production timelines effectively. Qualifications and Responsibilities Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Jewelry Design, Gemology, Fashion Design, Jewelry Technology, or a related field. 2. 5 years of experience in jewelry design and factory production, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and operations. 3. In-depth knowledge of jewelry design processes, including modeling, assembly, and production techniques. 4. Proficient in Matrix 8, 9, Rhino 7, and Adobe Photoshop, with a high level of efficiency and industry-standard accuracy. 5. Ability to prepare essential mold information, including assembly diagrams, weight calculations, gemstone details, rendering, and dimensioning. 6. Organize and maintain CAD files systematically according to company standards for easy access and future reference. 7. Operate and maintain 3D resin printers for prototype production effectively. 8. Evaluate jewelry specifications, including gold weight and gemstone details, ensuring compliance with production requirements. 9. Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient manufacturing processes, verify the accuracy of designs, and confirm feasibility for production. 10. Manage project timelines effectively, ensuring CAD designs are completed on schedule and meet the Plan’s targets. 11. Work closely with the design team and production team to develop and refine designs for manufacturability, while introducing innovative ideas for product improvement. 12. Identify and resolve design and production issues promptly to minimize errors and delays. 13. Demonstrate creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving skills in design, ensuring designs meet both aesthetic and technical requirements. 14. Basic English communication skills for work-related tasks. 15. Strong sense of responsibility, patience, and the ability to work flexible hours as required. 16. Maintain design targets and timelines as specified by the Supervisor. 17. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
