Assistant Manager (Central Documentation Policy)

Responsibilities;

• Review cargo claims, gather documentation (e.g., Bills of Lading, surveys), and assess causes.
• Validate claims according to shipping terms, maintain accurate records, and prepare summaries report.
• Communicate with maritime consultants, lawyers, customers, surveyors, insurers, and internal teams to resolve claims.
• Follow up on each cargo claim settlement within guidelines and facilitate timely resolution.
• Ensure legal compliance, monitor trends, and provide insights on potential risks.
• Coaching to Members.
• To provide staff awareness sessions together with HR and BPM team for location, covering carrier roles and responsibilities, dos and don’ts from a legal perspective.
• Additionally, support RCL logistics vendors and customer contracts vetting/editing with prompt action.

Qualifications;

• Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Law, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 5 years working experience in Shipping or Logistics Business.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in cargo claims, shipping, or maritime law related.
• Good knowledge of claims handling and negotiation in Shipping & Logistics Business.
• Understanding of maritime laws and cargo liability.
• Strong analytical skills with a proven record of project completion.
• Excellent organizational skills and knowledge of process improvement.
• Proficiency in MS. Office ; familiarity with shipping software and SAP is a plus. 
• Good skills in English (speaking, reading, writing)
